The last chapter gives ways that climate change will affect you directly, esp. as young people who will be going into the work force, investing in property, and planning for the future. I'd like you to continue to share changes that you have made already or want to make in order to decrease your carbon footprint. But I'd also like to know if you have taken global warming into account regarding choices about where you'd like to live or what you'd like to do for a job.
Also, this week, I'd like you to share what you have learned spending the second half of the course discussing climate change. How has the reading and/or our discussions changed, or not, the way you think about climate change?

Saving Energy
My family and I save energy at home by turning off the lights when we ae not using them. Also instead of turning the lights on in the morning we open up the window shades to let the sunlight come in. Another thing we do is not let our cell phones charge overnight and unplug them from the wall.

Climate change march!!
It is incredible the thousands of people who came out to the climate change march. It is a good thing that people want to fight, defend, and demonstrate the importance of global warming. There is only one earth and his march was for a healthy planet and a government respectful of human rights. We need to start changing the world and this is definitely the first step.
Ways to save energy
I have realized ways my parents and I have been saving energy. Recently my mom started using energy saving light bulbs and using the suns sunlight rather than turning on the lights from the house. She also unplugs all the chargers when we are not using them to save energy. I feel that by doing these small things it can make a difference over time.

Saving Energy
My parents and I save energy by turning off lights when we don't need it. Whenever my mom finish cooking , she turned off our kitchen light. Also when I go out, I turned of my bedroom lights. In additon, when I don't use my charger or finish charging, I always take out power outage.

what I learned from chapter 6
Something that I learned from chapter 6 is that there are several plans to reduce carbon dioxide. The saddest thing for me is that most of the people including me do not realize that we are responsible and contributors in the pollution of the environment. Another interesting thing that I learned from this chapter is that we should start replacing vehicles, and try to replace it by using bicycles, public transportation. We should begin to walk more often instead of using our car for everything; moreover, walking is beneficial for our health. Walking or cycling emits 0Kg of CO2 associated with the burning of fossil fuels; we should try everything to clean our world.
Role of clean energy
In chapter 6, Joseph Romm uses "personal researching" in page 196 and it at second paragraph where he talked about him working in U.S Department of Energy. Also he speak about publishing some case studies based on limiting energy consumption and carbon dioxide. However, before that case, he published another cased called, " "Greening the Building and the bottom line: Increasing productively Through Energy Efficient Design", but this case was dismissed.
The role of clean energy
After reading the chapter 6 I learned that increasing energy efficiency is a direct way to against climate change. Energy efficiency in climate change is the most significant role at present situation. My family have taken part in energy efficiency like most of Americans. We recycle bottles, papers, and water. I use bank statement letters as sketch papers when I was doing math problems. I would turn off all the electric after leaving home. World has changed a lot in the past few years. I have just been to the New York International Auto show last Sunday, and I have noticed that more and more hybrid cars were made from different companies. Green energy car will become the mainstream in the future.
chapter 6
What I learn from this chapter is that energy efficiency can be simple and insulating at home. This is a good way too reduce the energy consumed. Also this energy efficiency could help families save money.
Energy efficiency
Energy efficiency is the reduction in the products and services that we use. In my eyes it is very important in order to limit and reduce climate change as much as possible. With everyone helping little by little great change can happen. Joseph Romm uses personal research by explaining when he used to work for the U.S department of energy.
The Role of Clean Energy
I believe that the role of having clean energy makes it easier to reduce energy and what we're using it for. It also makes it safer for us to use because we won't use so much energy on things that we may not be using in the moment. Things that I do to reduce the energy that's not being used i unplug the items, such as my lamp, phone charger, and my laptop. I'm going to consider taking your idea and giving my food scraps to composting places around or in my neighborhood because t sounds useful and helpful for communities around me and even within my community.
Energy Efficiency
In Climate Change, Romm states energy efficiency is the reducing of energy consumption of products and services we use. He also states how energy efficiency is the most important climate solution for the fact its a big resource, its the cheapest, its the fastest to deploy and it is renewable. My family, well just parents are always screaming at me and my siblings when we have too many lights on or have something on like the TV without even making use of it. As well as when we go shower, we leave the water running for a while instead of going in as soon as we open it. we don't listen often when our parents yell at us for this but its literally so simple to save water and energy.

ENG101
My biggest takeaway from CH.6 is when Joseph Romm explains the significance of Energy Efficiency on page 195. This is so significant to me, because I have not thought that there could be uses for other energy resources pretaning to the energy we use on a daily basis. He elaborates on this by giving the meaning of energy efficiency by implying that certain energy resources can be replaced with other sources, and explains the advantages it offers as a result to reduce climate change. I cannot remember exactly when me or my family have used energy efficiency, however,I will take note of this, and hope in the future I can use energy efficiency to prevent climate change.

The Role of Clean Energy
This chapter is a welcome respite from the gloom and doom of this book. Finally, what we can do about climate change!
What is your biggest takeaway from Ch. 6?
What role does energy efficiency play in fighting climate change? Have you or your family taken part in energy efficiency? If so, it what ways? Have you noticed any changes in your life--work, community--related to energy efficiency or conservation?
How does Joseph Romm use "personal research" (like in our Assignment #4) in this book? Examples?

Facts
Worldwide protesters are gathering to be heard. The main reason why thousound of people are protesting in the march for science is not to fight politically but strictally scientific. Society wants to improve health and environmental issues based on accurate and real facts. The purpose of this is to have an idea of how to act against adversities and changes in climate related issues. A clear example is the exact percentage of ultraviolet radiation that affects the planet. This is essential to determine the precise amount of chemicals and safe ingredients to make the right solar cream protection
From this book,I have known CO2 emission is a significant problem which leads global warming. As I know,NewYork State doesn't have relevant law about car emission. But in California,My friends told me that DMV checks car emission very strictly. China also has emission tax to charger more money from larger emission cars. Its a good idea to warn people to take care of the environment.

chp5
In this chapter, measures we're taking to cut down carbon pollution caught my attention. The United States uses strategies to cut down carbon dioxide emissions by using things such as a program called "Regional Green House Initiative". This of which helps to cut down the carbon pollution. I feel by us doing this it's going to better our environment and make our air much cleaner.

my country Bangladesh is also heavily affected by climate change
Bangladesh is also one of the victims of climate change. Bangladesh has been suffering from poverty. There are many poor people living in the street with no home. If climate change creates more terrifying storm then it is going to impact them negatively.
here is a website of Bangladesh's climate change affects.

Climate change is affecting my country!!
This time i want to mention a very sad situation that just happened in Colombia due to a severe river overflow that led to more than 200 people dead. In the south region of Colombia, very heavy rains made three rivers overflow and literally destroy the whole city of Mocoa. This is a clear example of how climate change is becoming a very important issue worldwide. Unfortunately the conditions of the region make it harder to rescue personnel to access the affected areas. Climate change has definitely created catastrophes due to an increase in frequency and intensity of natural events.

Re-climate change vs capitalism
I believe being a climate change denier is being ignorant and refuse to see the facts. all of us should start trying to change something in our every day to try to help the environment. I think politicians don't want to pay much attention to climate change because they rather get more money in heir pockets or spend it in something else such as guns or military equipment.
Re-climate change vs capitalism
I believe that protecting the environment shoud come before jobs because even though jobs will relieve the suffering of the poverty for now it is only a temporary solution. Protecting the enviornment will benefit all of mankind in the long run. We must make sacrifices in order to serve a greater good, it just happens that the jobs of some people is that sacrifice.

Climate Change vs. Capitalism
As Romm writes, the wealthy countries (USA, EU member nations) have a duty to cut more greenhouse gasses than the developing nations (China and India, both big polluters, are getting wealthier, but they're still developing nations). Donald Trump, a climate denier, has argued that controls on emissions is bad for business. He is in the process of defunding the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and many worry that he will remove the US from the Paris Climate Agreement. Here is a graph showing that the US has been the heaviest polluter throughout most of the 20th century:
http://www.pbl.nl/en/infographic/total-global-cumulative-greenhouse-gas-emissions
What is your feeling about this? Which should take precedence? Business/jobs or protection of the climate? Is it fair that we should have to cut more pollutants than a huge polluter like India?
Since about 97% of climate change scientists argue that our climate is dangerously warming and that humans have caused the vast majority of the warming, why do some (businesses, a few scientists, and many US politicians) argue the opposite? What are their motivations for arguing against the science? What do they know that the scientists don't know?

Climate change
The more I learn about climate change the more I realize how it is severely affecting us. Many people don't find it of great importance, so they don't pay mind to it but sooner or later it's going to hit them. Our animals are becoming extinct because of us which is very cruel and inconsiderate. Carbon dioxide has presented to be the worst of all the others to be destroying the climate from the global level. Coal plants are operated by the government and several individual companies within the country.
