Climate Change and Faith

Joseph Romm writes about Pope Francis' encyclical which you can read here if you're interested:

The Pope argues that saving the climate is a moral issue. Is climate change a moral/religious issue? Is the Pope right, or not, for making it one?

  1. Yes, it is a moral issue because saving the climate is a righteous/noble issue (the meaning of moral work) according to the term's meaning itself. Is the climate a religious issue? I think this would entirely depend on person's beliefs, and from the Pope's perspective, it could be a religious issue and I would respect his opinions which is why if I would have to talk to him about his matter then I would not judged him on his beliefs. Although, in a practical world(evidence-based ) people don't say that it is a religious issue, because it(religious issue) is thought to be based on theories and ideas which is a less relevant way to call this urgent issue. I would say that Pope can not be wrong just to share his thoughts/beliefs about the climate change because it every ones basic right to give away opinions to the world.
