Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 101 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.

1st Week
As I stated on Tuesday, all posts this week will be for extra credit. Starting on Sunday, you'll be required to make AT LEAST two entries per week on the blog. This week, you may use this space to ask questions that have arisen since you've read the syllabus. You may also use this space to tell us something about yourself, your views on current events, pop culture, etc. If you wish, you may also talk about your first impressions of Rosie Perez's memoir.
