I wanted to remind you that starting next week, there will be daily events related to the Common Read. If you want to get extra credit, you may attend one (or more) of the events below and write a 1-p reflection. You can go to as many events as you want, but you must turn in a reflection for each to get extra credit.

One exciting event that has just been added and is not yet on the calendar: Rosie Perez herself will come to campus on Monday 3/20 at 12:15 to speak to the QCC community. As soon as I know about tickets to this event, I will let you know.
Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 101 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing/reading on a weekly basis in an informal forum.
