Thoughts on pages 206-207

My thoughts on this section is that Rosie had a feeling of regret because  she had never hit a child before. Based on how she described how she hit the kid, her saying that her mouth had been bleeding, it made her feel bad. She only hit the child because of they way she had been raised, specifically, living in the home, being abused constantly, that's mainly how she knows how to handle children because that's the way she had been handled as a little girl growing up. She later learned, from her Tia, that she didn't have to react that way at least all the time but they both understood why she had reacted the way that she did.
