I think the song "Somewhere over the rainbow" in Rosie's life symbolize happiness, love (hugs, kisses and company) peace(she could lie down and talk to someone without getting hit) and happiness (enjoy whatever she had without restriction) because in Tia's house had all of it and that's everything a child would like to have. Rosie's life in the home is like hell because she is a victim of violence and she is restrict from almost everything. She wish to have a normal life, like the summer that she spend at her Tia's house.
