After hitting one of Millie's kid, Rosie felt terrible because it reminded her mother abusing her. Rosie never wants to be like her mother and abusing other children. In page, 207 Rosie stated what Tia had said "..I reacted that way because that was what I'd been taught, but that I didn't have to be like that." This can relate other children who had abuse relationship with their parents and had a impact on them But Rosie doesn't want that affecting her.
