Somewhere over the rainbow
" somewhere over the rainbow" really highlights Dorothy's life as a dark gloomy cloud, and somewhere out there there is a beautiful life awaiting her after she overcomes all her struggles. She is sure that it exists she just needs to find it. This relates to the memoir because Rosie Perez has had a life full of troubles, and she has hope in her that soon all the bad things will be over.
