I think she was singing this song because when she had the accident she hit her head and lost her mid for a little while. By singing over the rainbow the song would bring her memories and travel back to her life and the happy moment, like the rainbow is beautiful and would bring her happy moments.

    I agree as well because after it rains or have a storm there always a rainbow at the end that makes people happy because its beautiful with its bright colors but always because the damage is over and done with. So singing this song would keep her in a happy moment to get the pain off her mine.
